Beach Course at Waikoloa Beach Golf Club, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Waikoloa, Hawaii. It is part of a 36 hole, 2 course complex. The other course is The Kings Course at Waikoloa Beach Golf Club Resort.
Beach Course at Waikoloa Beach Golf Club first opened for play in 1980. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
The classic Robert Trent Jones Jr. design was literally carved from the lava flow along the picturesque Anaeho’omalu Bay. Immaculate greens are well-guarded by numerous white sand bunkers and strategically placed water features. The crowning glory of the Beach Course is the 502-yard par 5 twelfth—known throughout the islands as the most spectacular oceanfront par-five in Hawaii. Not only is it a challenging golf hole, it’s a great place to watch humpback whales and catch splendid views of the other Hawaiian Islands.
Par 70, 6566 yards, Slope: 134, Rating 71.6

Not as good as King's course but still a nice course. I always play it when on Big Island.

Have been playing this course on an annual basis for 10 years. Conditions range from windy to "way too windy", but when you are playing in paradise who really minds. The course is challenging, and there can be slow play at times, however should you choose to play at 7am and be the first ones out...............it's heaven. The Beach Course signature #4 (the old #12) is a left dog-leg into the ocean wind, it is as picturesque as it is challenging. The prices are more than competetive when you own timeshare property with the Hilton properties. One of the reasons we purchased.

Tough start first two holes are over water, but it gets you going with a bang or a bogey or two. Terrific value if you stay in a members vacation rental. Staff are an exceptional example of Aloha!!

Challenging course, more so if the wind is blowing. Certainly tighter than its Kings Course neighbor. Beach name is a bit misleading as there is really only one hole (#7) that overlooks beach. Good layout and design. Numerous ways to get cheaper rates (stay at a member's condo, buy multiple round package through course, buy discount card) to make the course a good value for the island. Liked both Beach and Kings courses better than the 2 at Kona CC, but lacked in all areas compared to Mauna Lani. However, a round at Mauna Lani was almost 3 times what I paid to play Waikoloa.

Fairly flat course. Can get windy. Pace of play is great early in the morning. Get a discount card with out one its very expensive. But hey its in Hawaii and the weather is great in December. Low 65 high 82.

It can be hit or miss for the wind. Went out early in the morning and had only a mild breeze. Went out the same time on another day and the wind was blowing very hard. Course itself has a nice layout with several risk/reward holes. The fairways were not particularly in great condition but playable. Pace of play was great because I was one of the first ones to tee off. It seems 9 AM or later the pace of play really slows down. Got the multi-play package so it cost a little less than individual rounds. I would rate both courses as equal.
